Yep, I turned all that flannel into a baby quilt!
My Besties daughter is having a baby girl and I had ten days after Christmas to
whip up a quilt before the shower.
You know how sometimes you have to get one thing out of the way before you can start on another? Well that's how I felt with this, I had to get over Christmas before I could tackle a quilt.
The pattern is called "Granny Square" and very easy to do. I cut it all out in one day, assembled the squares that next day, and on the third day I put it all together with a simple stitch in the ditch to hold it all together.
The baby's room is being done in non traditional colors as you can see.
I hope the flannel will keep the baby warm this winter.
I so love to quilt and it was nice to be able to have a project to do again.

ReplyDeleteWhat baby wouldn't be snug in that wonderful quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute, cute baby quilt! I'm so glad today's generation is making different choices from the traditional baby colors. Not that there's anything wrong with pink and blue--it was just too limiting. Your grandbaby will love the bright colors--I'm sure of it!
